Drawn from the rich visual history of NAIDOC, this exhibition explores the evolution of First Nations storytelling through art, design and advocacy. Showcasing iconic NAIDOC posters and visual works from across the decades, it traces changing messages of pride, resistance, self-determination and resilience, reflecting the social, cultural and political movements that have shaped Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Through powerful imagery and design, the exhibition highlights the enduring role of creative expression in amplifying First Nations voices, celebrating culture, and driving community-led change. You are invited to reflect on the continuing significance of NAIDOC as a platform for recognition, connection and collective action.
The exhibition is presented by Brimbank City Council, and will be on display from Sunday 5 July to Sunday 12 July at Watergardens, located near JD Sports.
