The Athlete’s Foot

Turn your pre-loved sports shoes into something amazing! Drop them off at designated The Athlete’s Foot stores, where they’ll be collected and recycled into materials for new products like gym mats, flooring, and playgrounds.

JD Sports

A social responsibility to operate as environmentally conscious as possible, with a focus on waste reduction and recycling. They are proud to be partnering with ASGA on a global first initiative industry-wide footwear recycling program. The initiative works to reduce the significant volume of shoes which end up in landfill every year. To get involved, we encourage you to visit any Victorian JD store to donate your unwanted footwear. Working with our recycling partners, the reusable byproducts will be utilised to create gym matts, flooring, sporting surfaces and retail flooring.

Anaconda

Anaconda stores nationwide serve as collection points for pre-loved snow jackets, puffers, and fleece jumpers, which are distributed to the homeless through a network of up to 2,000 charities. Those without a pre-loved item can purchase a new jacket at Anaconda to donate. The Heat the Homeless appeal invites the community to donate quality jackets to those in need. If you'd give it to a friend, it's good enough to donate! Simply drop your jacket in an Anaconda store's donation box, and partner charities will ensure it reaches someone in need.

Platypus Shoes

Give your old kicks new life! You can now recycle your pre-loved kicks in select stores. This program is part of the Tread Lightly initiative by ASGA & Save our Sole. They’ll be picked up at our store and sent to a recycling plant with reusable components extracted including rubber, leather and fibres. The reclaimed materials are used to manufacture new products such as gym floors. Now available in selected Platypus stores.
